Doctor Visits Galore!

Dear Friends & Family, I have lots to report. On Tuesday I went in for my weight check. I now weigh *drum roll please* 6 lbs. 5 oz. Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me. If that is all it takes to make them happy..... Then the mean nurse gave me a shot. They keep telling me it is for my own good. The shot is supposed to protect me from RSV. Unfortunately, I have to get this EVERY month until RSV season is over in March or April. I have to admit that I did cry quite a bit with this one. But Mommy and Daddy were right there with me the whole time!

Today I had to go back to the hospital for a follow-up with my GI doctor. She checked me out and said that I looked great. But I already knew that. Mommy & Daddy tell me that all the time! Then she sent me off with these nurses who took a whole bunch of my blood. This was the first time my blood has been taken from a vein in my arm as opposed to a heel stick. It was kind of scary. But as usual Mommy and Daddy were right there with me. But even scarier than the blood draw was the crazy nurse. While Mommy and Daddy were getting me settled down, the nurse reached over and kissed me repeatedly on the forehead. Mommy and Daddy almost lost it. But Mommy calmly wiped me down with some baby wipes until I was good and clean! Anyway the doctor is supposed to call Mommy tomorrow and let her know if I can stop taking two of the medicines that I have had to take for jaundice ever since I came home from the hospital. I know Mommy will be happy about that. She is tired of trying to get out the orange stains from all of my clothes.

After my doctor visit we went back to the NICU for a visit. I got to see one of my favorite nurses (Stephanie) as well as my favorite respiratory therapist (Erica). They were my favorite because they tended to give me what I wanted. Erica always helped me out by removing those tools of torture (AKA CPAP and ventilator). Stephanie was the one that discharged me.

I think that is it for now. Time for a diaper change!

Love, Mr. Miles
